Chapter 54

1

To the chief Musician18 on Neginoth, Maschil, 7919 56 [A Psalm] of David, when the Ziphims came2 and said4 to Saul, Doth not David hide102 himself with us?
Save54 me, O God, by thy name, and judge4 me by thy strength.

2

Hear3 my prayer, O God; give ear54 to the words of my mouth.

3

For strangers5 are risen up1 against me, and oppressors seek14 after my soul: they have not set1 God before them. Selah.

4

Behold, God [is] mine helper:6 the Lord [is] with them that uphold6 my soul.

5

He shall reward55 7725 4 evil unto mine enemies:6 cut them off54 in thy truth.

6

I will freely sacrifice4 unto thee: I will praise55 thy name, O LORD; for [it is] good.

7

For he hath delivered52 me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen1 [his desire] upon mine enemies.6
