There are some who went through the holidays in a jubilant elation, while others suffered through them in a melancholy gloom. Some were ecstatic in the exchange of gifts at Christmas, some went through the motions in a blissless dolor. New Years resolutions were made, some to be kept by diligent hearts, others to be broken as quickly as the words were spoken.
