For those who have fought for it;
Freedom has a taste the protected will never know.

So many people have forgotten what the July 4th holiday is all about. Most people see July 4th as just another paid holiday, a mini summer vacation from work. A day to take the family to the lake or a day to party. A day for the kids to shoot firecrackers and a night to watch fireworks displays.

Even though July 4th is Independence Day, rarely do you hear anyone refer to it as that. It is as if people have forgotten that it is the day America declared independence from the tyranny of the English crown.

Our forefathers (Not just the signers of the Declaration of Independence, but also the men who bled the battle fields red fighting to gain the freedom of this nation.) founded this country with the ideal of freedom of religion, one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.

Two hundred plus years ago the United Colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence and fought a war to be free of tyranny. Today, the United States has another tyrant that it must be made free of. Today’s tyrant is the liberal elite that controls the establishment and whose god is the secular humanist.

Our forefathers wrote in the Declaration of Independence; "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." We have lost these rights to the insanity of the liberal elite.

The liberal elite have twisted these words to establish their own agenda. They claim to be increasing the rights of the people, but in reality they are taking our individual rights away from us. They have taken God the Creator out of our schools and every government institution, and have replaced Him with their god of secular humanism.

What have they accomplished? The prisons are bulging, hardened criminals are set free because there is no room for them. And the prisons themselves are more under the control of gang leaders than wardens. With the replacing of morality with the philosophy of if it feels good do it, both abortion and the birth of unwanted babies are at an all time high. Aids is feared more than cancer. Alcohol and drug abuse treatment centers are overflowing.

I could continue on with a list that would fill several pages, but I think the point has been made. The point that there are tyrants who are called the liberal elite, who use their secular humanist religion to spread their tyranny.

Just as our forefathers rose up to fight tyranny to obtain freedom. We also must rise up to fight the tyranny which restrains our freedom.

This is not an call to arms, as there is no need for guns or bombs or any other ignorant thing. This is not a call for a militant action where something stupid could happen.

This is a call to prayer. Prayer for the leaders of this nation that God will convict their hearts. A prayer that the Lord will turn the leaders of this country away from the insanity that has led them to lead this country into such a social, moral, and spiritual decay. A prayer that the Lord will lead them that they may lead this country back into all the freedoms which God our Creator has endowed unto us. A prayer that we may taste the freedom that our forefathers bled the battle fields red to obtain for us.

To Jesus, the King of kings, the giver of our true freedom.
